OKAY, here’s my opinion for what it’s worth

As of lately, I’ve been reading quite a bit of negative thoughts about this site and I’d just like to make my opinion known. There are members out there that want to blame admin for whatever reason but, as I’ve always felt; you’ll get more out of anything you do according to whst you put into it.. I use this site to make friends as my health conditions do not allow me the freedom to make friends otherwise. You want to know something; I DID gain many friends!!!

I’ll admit there are a few kinks on this site but as members, we eah have a hand in correcting whatever may be wrong! Don’t wait for somebody else to make s positive change unless you’re willing to pitch in as well.

I wish everyone was as positive as you hotdog regarding this site. I’m sick of people complaining about it. We can still use the shout boxes, make replies and posts. So what if it’s slow and has little faults, there is still something here that we can use.

Some people take this site way too seriously. I can understand people complaining about the problems if they were paying to use it, but it’s free. It’s probably just something they work on when they have spare time, and with they way the economy is right now and companies laying people off, whoever works on this site probably doesn’t have a lot of spare time right now.

Thank you…that’s EXACTLY my point….we still have use of thi site for what it was intended for….communication. I’m sure all the bells and whistles problems will be resoved in time but for a free site, we should be grateful that it’s up and running.

Can anyone remember what it was like a few months ago? All the trolls, mods going on strike and everyone arguing. I still enjoyed the site then, because even though there was a lot of arguing, it still had the “community” feel to it.

I remember the contaversy a few months ago and yet we made it through. I’ve been on this site for about a year and a half and have seen this same issue before. The key is to not forget that sense of community….afterall, isn’t that what brought us all here in the first place?

good post hotdog.. as for myself.. i belong to this site as well as one other one that has been made on the side… but i dont go to either one on a regular basis anymore.. just find myself being exhausted lately… possibly the weather.. maybe my health, dont know.. just tired… dont find the computer interesting much??? dont know.. but when i do get on.. i always try to make time to get to all my invites.. even if im a bit late…

yes… i try to atleast answer my invites.. that much i do try to do.. cant wait until the notices are back up.. and all is restored.. may have a different impact on me coming back daily… who knows.. as of right now… i dont even like being on the computer at all.. not even playing games on it.. just bored of it.. think that running to the dr’s and cleaning the house and sitting at this screen all day long has gotten to me.. i need to find something more to do.. :) getting boring for me… miss working i think.. and its getting to me…

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; it’s quite easy to pass blame on others (including admin) when things don’t go the way we’d like them to but just remember this….we can only harvest what we’ve sown. Personally, I’ve gotten quite a great deal from this site and have even managed to make some friends but I’ve also contributed the best I could.
