So now its done, and for all the worry and all the fretting, the world hasnt ended.

Obama assumed office yesterday, yet the course of human events hasnt been thrown wildly off course.

really though, my mother is the most closed minded person! she cant accept that the world isnt going to end because obama was elected. my dad didnt really like him, but he didnt like any of them, AND he has the common sense to acknowledge that not ALL his ideas are bad. my mother, however, thinks obama is satan and that he kills children and all that good stuff. Heres a few good tidbits from our conversations:

Mom: “*almost muttering*hes the worst ever *no longer muttering* He has the worst voting history of either of the 2.”
Me: “yes, im…sure hes the worst president in the history of the entire country ever.”
Mom: “I didnt say tha…”
Me: “actually, you not only said that, but they were your EXACT words.”

Mom: “he kills babies”
Me: “he personally goes out and kills them with his bare hands?”
Mom: “No..you know what i mean, his voting record…he always voted in favor of abortion”
Me: “So youre saying theres never any sort of situation where an abortion is ok, ever?”
Mom: “Thats not what i said, he didnt vote for that”
Me: “now youre just making things up! theres not a “Its ok sometimes” vote, theres only a yes or a no!”
Mom: “But he still voted YES!”

“Hes a democrat. That means he believes in throwing money away to bandaid the problem.”

So as you see, she pretty much just hates him because all democrats are baby killers that throw money away. I mean, theres no chance that any of them are actually INDIVIDUALS, nooooo, their all the same.
