Why does my RAM say it is only 222mb when it is actually 256mb?

How can I fix this problem ?

Cause computers are retarded..
and with 256mb RAM you really need to upgrade
The standard is 1054mb RAM +

thanks but my system info say it has 256 which i know is the minimum requirement is there a means of adjusting the actual temporarily ????

well I don’t understand hardware all that well but you can find a tech site to help you out.
Just google RAM help maybe

I think it’s because the OS uses some of the RAM.

you probably have on-board graphics card. on board ones use some ram
