If R Kelly were a man…
Beyoncé was a bit bitchy in her video “If I were a boy” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVTyLqkez6A), and consequently her guy became sour.
R. Kelly made an own remix (http://youtube.com/watch?v=US0U7JA2UJ0), and replied “If you were a boy”.
I wish that this remix wouldn’t be so popular.
One reason is that the original was good, and it seems like he is taking over her song. R. Kelly has a good voice and should be able to do something of his own.
A second reason is that his arguments are lousy and chauvinistic!
So I wrote another input to it, addressed to him:
“If you were a MAN
then boy you’d understand
why she is listening to her friends
about love and respect
Why at all go to clubs with the boys
and why at all flirt with other girls
why this need to roll out
when you have a family at home?
But you are not a man
so you don’t have a clue
’cause to work and pay the bills
does not justify your rolling out”
