an important way that scientists have been able to study the interior of the earth is by:

a. studying the exterior, which is made of exactly the same material.

b. digging deep trenches at the bottom of the ocean, which is a lot closer to the planets center.

c. mesauring how scismic waves are transmitted through the earth.

d. using spacecraft that can detect radio waves coming from the center.

e. there is no way we can study the earths deep interior at the present time.

I somehow sensed you calling my name and found my way here :-)

I would have to concur with you on this one.

The interior and exterior of the planet are not the same material.
we don’t dig deep trenches into the earths crust at the bottom of the sea/ocean because that would release the “liquid hot magma” and destroy the drill… not to mention that most of our equipment can’t get to the bottom of the ocean due to the water pressure.
we do measure scismic waves.
I don’t know of any radio waves eminating from the earths core.
The last one is also a bit of a potential since scismic waves do not necessarily make it all the way to the earths core.
However I would think C is the most likely answer.
