Electronic Recommendations - monitor, iPod speakers, keyboard, and mouse
Alright, I was finally given the option to change my room to my liking, for once, and I’m taking advantage of it while it still lasts. After shifting around the furniture I have, I opened up some space and wanted to put a desk there. I’ve got a laptop at the moment and wanted to make it so that I could use it more effectively. So, I’ve been considering getting a monitor, keyboard, and mouse for it. I’m also looking for a dock for my iPod if there’s one that fits it.
Below are my conditions, if you have any recommendations that would be great. Just keep in mind I’m paying for all this and I don’t have a lot of money to spend on one thing, so try to avoid recommending something that’s really expensive. But, if you think it’s the best, explain why you’d take it over the others. Thanks.
Monitor
I plan on using the monitor for general purposes with my laptop and also for playing my PS3 and other game systems, thus I need it to be HDCP compatible as far as I’ve heard. My screen is a 14 inch at the moment and I’m hoping to do dual monitors with the two, so I don’t want it to be a massive difference, maybe 22 inch at most.
Keyboard and mouse
I’m hoping to get a combination keyboard and mouse, but if they come separately that’s fine. I would prefer if they were rechargeable, though I can deal if they are battery powered. What I’m majorly looking for is a keyboard with a keypad, and a three to five button mouse with scroll wheel.
iPod dock
I would also, if possible, like to get a dock for my 4th gen (click wheel) iPod that would not only charge it but connect to my pc so I can update it as well. And, though I might be asking for too much, I would love for it to double as my laptop speakers too. I’ve heard of Bose and I’m not spending that much on a speaker, so please avoid those unless you found a discounted one.
