The same reason I came to this site in the first place, computer-crashing-problems.
I’ve seen it now, though, and there was something very profound about it, and something crude and weird, and also something nice in that there are rainbow socks just like you wanted socks for Christmas. :)

It’s a made up word for “quantum bit”, like “bit” is a made up word for “binary digit”.
It, um, represents a transcendance of the o/1 black/white binary duality, because computers built using qubits rather than bits rely on the same two states of on-off, but a qubit can also be both on and off or a “quantum superposition of both states”.
Maybe that tag isn’t quite right, but helpbot didn’t help tag anything and he/she probably could have if she/he were built on qubits rather than bits.
