Which digital (reflex)camera would you recommend?

Dear everyone,

I’m kinda into photography, and I feel time has come to kind of ‘invest’ in a more expensive digital camera. What are the pro and cons of reflex cameras? Has anybody got any experience with them? My new camera should be able to take portratis, landscapes, movement, close ups from animals and flowers,… Not that I want a long-focus lens, but I want to be able to take stunning pictures everywhere!

Budget: around 400 euros/+- 500 USD…

Hmmm isn’t nokia a brand of cellphones? :) maybe you mean Nikon :) was actually thinking about the Nikon 40Dx or 60D

Or do you not mind what it looks like and are concentrating on performance?

uhm, mainly on performance, but i also want to be able to take it on holidays so it would be great if it’s not too heavy - it’s definitely got to have a handy grip

Ha, it’s cool when I’m right. (Even if I mispelled the brand…) In my one photography class, we used these really old, heavy as heck cameras, black and white, manual. They were cool.

and about that exhibition, first one is here in the garage, but I’ll soon be asked to do another exhibition somewhere in town, and then I’ll gradually become so famous for my bumpictures that I’ll soon be organizing exhibitions all over the world! :) So don’t worry - as soon as you see a big announcement in the papers ‘bumpictures hit x’ (x=enter your town here) I’ll be there, waiting. I’ll be the one with the stunning dress, doin situps while veryone enjoys the pictures ;)
