This story’s about a girl
And her first year in Jr. High
The same year she decided
That she wanted to die
It was on a Wednesday
She stayed after class
She had to stay for tutoring
To be able to pass
She went into the office
Called her dad on the phone
But he had to work late
And she stayed all alone
She thought about the grade
She had gotten on her test
She walked along the fence
As the sun quickly moved west
Even though she looked big
She began to feel afraid
Aside from her appearance
She was just in 7th grade
She saw a man walking her way
With no apparent destination
It never crossed her mind
He had a bad intention
As he walked beside her
He shoved her towards the fence
She was caught off guard
And had no defense
She looked into his eyes
Then she closed hers tight
She knew he was way stronger
But she put up a fight
He moved his hand inside her pants
She was shocked and confused
She never thought she’d ever
Be sexually abused
His fingers were inside her
It was disgusting, a disgrace
She just closed her eyes tighter
As that man licked her face
She knew it was her fault
For staying after school
But why did the world
Have to be so cruel?
Suddenly she remembered
She had a sharpened pencil
Could it really help?
A simple writing utensil?
Somehow she was able
To get her weapon out
She stabbed him on his side
He let out a loud shout
He looked straight in her eyes
As he dropped her to the floor
He kicked her on her leg
Her tears began to poor
And with her tears his blood
She had it on his hands
But she didn’t care
She wished death on that man
She sat for a moment
Then she stood up straight
And swore that she would never
Talk about that date
She felt angry and sick
But she new she couldn’t show it
Her dad went to pick her up
And he didn’t even notice
From that time on, she wore a jacket
She felt safe with it some way
It also hid her arm
She cut cuz of that day
She also never spoke in class
She never said a word
They asked her many questions
But her voice was never heard
Her grades lowered considerably
And with it her self-esteem
She wished every single day
To wake from that bad dream
It is now getting closer
To her graduation day
And all those ugly memories
Have yet to go away
It’s been really hard
For her to trust again
But there are a few people
That she could call her friends
She knows that she could trust them
She knows they really care
And if she ever need some help
She knows that they’ll be there
