What percentage of people on this site do you reckon present with a genuine query ?

Most seem to be whining teens endlessly banging on about there boring boyfriend/girlfriend problems or how they are “like bored” or not having any fun anymore. My suggestion to them is if you think your having problems now wait till you’re old enough to change your socks by yourself and then you’ll find out just HOW tough things can really get. Welcome to life in the real world.

Probably, 10% or less, judging by all the anonymous posts. As well as the content of said posts.

This post doesn’t seem to meet its own definition of a genuine query — it’s more like the pointless complaining it refers to.

I sense a real disdain on your part towards young people :-P hahaha
You must remember what it was like to be a kid yourself? Every little thing seemed like such a big deal back then. I don’t begrudge the kids coming on here to blow off steam. The only things I hate are all the anonymous posts and people who post something and then never reply to you when you give them advice or try to talk to them. If you are having a problem why can’t you post it under your own name instead of anonymous? Is it really that hard to put your name to a post?

My you arent bitter at all. Teenage angst is important, to teenagers, and some of us adults dont mind listening and trying to remember what ridiculous action we would have taken back in the day.
Worry more about the people pretending to be dying or poor when they so patently are not.
Maybe 10% of things appear to be of a technical nature, I doubt if they are made up.
It doesnt matter if it’s real or not it takes people’s minds off the horrible reality that is outside their bedroom door, the World.

I tend to agree with Headless Chicken.

I don’t mind people posting anonymously, but the content of a lot of the posts is pointless. I don’t remember ever having so much angst as a teenager. From what I remember I was a pretty happy kid. Not to say my life was perfect. I just learned to deal with my problems instead of complaining about them and expecting someone else to fix them for me. Of course, we didn’t have the internet back then.
