Help

Ok so i’m only 18 and in my last year of high school. Im nearly 200 lbs, just about four to six pounds shy of it. Prom is at the end of april. I wanna look good for my final prom. Im just wondering if there is anyway to lose weight. And not by weight supplements either. I can get to the gym twice a week. Other then that im at work and at school. Does any one have any ideas or suggestions.

very helpful replies here, nice to see you guys ‘helping’.
listen bloodsea honey, dont let guys like the above get you down. im sure youre a nice person whereas they are NOT!
you have 3 months to go til prom if you went on a diet now, im sure youd be feeling better when it comes. ive found it best when following a plan, join a meeting like weightwatchers that helps. eat little and often and plan what youre going to eat each day. gyms fab, incorporating exercise into your week will speed up your weight loss, i went for long walks and quite enjoyed them! by the time your prom comes you could easily lose quite a few pounds and its amazing how good een losing a few pounds makes you feel. just try and put your mind to it and dont lose hope :)

If you don’t eat that much like you say and still gain weight, you might want to get yourself checked out. however, a good strategy to start a weight loss plan is to keep a food journal for a couple days, eat like you normally do and then tabulate the calories. and that means every bite. oftentimes people feel that they’re eating less than they are, forgetting a few crackers in passing here, or a bit while cooking etc…when you get the total, subtract a reasonable amount (between 300-600, depending on the total) and eating the new amount you should lose weight over time.
