As you know Valentine’s Day is just a couple of weeks away and I’m looking to do something really nice for this friend of mine.
We’re not dating or anything, but we do have plans to spend that day together, and he’s been going through a lot lately. I want to bring him and gift and I’m a baker. He’s trying to lose weight too right now, so I don’t really want to bring him cookies, like I would have in the past. I’m just trying to think of something I can bring him that’s healthy, but I don’t really have much experience in cooking healthy food. Cooking is what I’m good at so I want to stick with a gift of that variety.
Any suggestions?

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
low fat cake/ desserts

(i am getting hungry!)
do you want to cook some healthy
or buy something healthy?
no answer
he went to buy the ingredients! :p
Low calorie baked snacks??? Maybe you can Google that term?
Zuchinni bread, carrot muffins, pumpkin muffins…. moisture comes from the vegetables vs. oil. And put in half the sugar the recipe calls for. You can also use applesauce as a sweetener.

ask him wat he want/ his fav
ok..now your makin me hungry :)
Of course, I remember the saying, “All things in moderation and moderation in all things.” Maybe a traditional baked good would be appropriate as long as it is in a small portion size.
well i know if i ask what he wants hes going to say cookies and i’m just trying to help him stick to his diet, but he’s having trouble of his own trying to eat right.
The other option is to make himself something small and sweet… but go on a long walk together. Share it half way along.
I guess that since it’s valentines day i just want to show him that i care, and to do that i want to show him a healthier option, he’s actually really over weight and I think he needs help to find a step in the right direction.
Exercise is actually the best first step. It works better than dieting. Why?
1. Boosts confidence
2. Creates an investment… yes, you think wow I am exercising so much I don’t want to screw it up with cookies
3. Makes you feel better over time
The best thing you can do is help him create an exercise habit.
I understand where your coming from but since its valentines day i wanted to help him in the form of a gift.
Your gift is YOU! Your time!
Just remember that if you want a man to be interested in you romantically at some point, you h
have to demonstrate that you appreciate what he does already and who he is already.
I’m not really looking to get him interested in me, I just went to be nice and help him out.
Engage him in physical activity together… bike riding, skiing, hiking, etc. especially something you enjoy doing. It’s a fun shared activity.
Experiences are far better gifts than things.
Does he have a Wii?

yeah he does actually
Maybe you can do some of the Wii-fit stuff together?
He’s been talking about getting wii-fit but he hasn’t yet, I’m not really sure why, but maybe the next time he goes to buy a game I can talk him in to that.
I always try to pick a unique and special gift for my friends and loved ones. I found this great site — http://my-song.ca/s/ano1! You go on and make a personalized song — I did it for my husband’s anniversary gift. I had a great time putting the song together. It’s completely personalized, and so cute! It’s something I know he won’t forget for a long time. Great site, thanks for the ideas!
