Because of all the ice and power outages I’ve been checking on my friends to see if they’re okay, if they have power, etc.

I want to make sure this guy, my ex, is alright. The problem is he hasn’t spoken to me since we broke up. He told many of our mutual friends that he wants to be friends with me, but he won’t talk to me. I just want to make sure that his family didn’t have to go to a shelter or anything.

Should I try to get one of our friends to get a hold of him, or just leave it?

Just leave it be. You don’t really need that information, and if he doesn’t want to talk to you, you are better off leaving him alone.
