My mom got wasted and forgot to pick me up from work

so i called her and she was sooo drunk so i told her not to come get me and that i had a ride but really i was walking so i start walking at 10 15 cause i didnt want her to drive that drunk. so around 10 55 im guessing i pass the macs by my house and see my mom drive by but she didnt see me. the thought of going to the payphone at macs and calling her cell ran through my mind but i didnt o how i wish i had so i come home call her and tell her im home and she says ok im coming home its one of those moments when u get a gut bad feeling and sure enough at the lights by my house she got in a accident and its her fault no ones hurt thank god but now idk what to do my dads gonna be soo mad at me he gets home tomorrow. Our car is idk what condition and my the cop who came is sooo mean he said to me to go and my mom wanted to talk to me but he wldnt let her and now i cant stop thinking of how scared she must be and idk what to do.

Don’t keep beating yourself up about this. Your mom should know better than to drink and drive. If she knew she had to pick you up she should have waited to get blitzed until after that. Your dad should also know better than to blame you for what your mom does. If she has a drinking problem then your dad should bring her to rehab or something. But don’t blame yourself for this situation. You did nothing wrong.

I agree… I would try talking to your mom… does she admit she did wrong? Does she do these sort of things often?

Your mom’s accident is certainly not your fault and you should not beat yourself up about it. She’s the adult and she drank and drove. I cant see why your dad should be mad at you either. You’ve done nothing wrong here and you should try to see that.
