Love me, Love me.
He kissed her with the deepest passion of his soul. She felt like heaven in his arms, her skin so soft and silky smooth, her perfect lips against his. He pulled her close so that they could feel each other with the full length of their bodies. He wanted to keep her close to him like this forever. Love me. Somewhere in the back of his mind his heart was breaking. He was losing. Her kisses were soft and sad, almost hesitant to touch and he could feel the absence of commitment radiate from her body. His body unconsciously pulled her tighter in the vain hope that it could mend this chasm between them by physical closeness. Please. He tried to speak to her between kisses, trying to make her laugh, make her smile, but his lungs seemed to constrict and his breath fell short too many times for him to continue. I love you so much. He closed his eyes and gave himself to her with his kisses, his hands caressing the smooth skin of her waist below the hem of her shirt, trying to memorize how it passed under his fingertips, how beautiful it felt to have her with him. Because she might not becoming back. Love me. She pulled back to look at him and he forced a small smile that did not reach his eyes. Then she hugged him tightly and he held her even more closely to him. He felt like he was never going to see her again. Then she pulled away and she looked at him. He slowly sat back down to where he had been and prepared himself to watch her leave.
“Well, see you later,” she said in that sad, noncommittal voice that made his heart drop once more. She was sinking farther and father away from him, and all he could do was watch it happen.
“I love you,” he found himself saying the words with a dismal sense that it was too late.
She turned to look at him one last time before she closed the door and walked out of his life forever.
