How do I remove a toilet tank?

I need to remove the tank on the toilet in my bathroom, because I want to remove the horrible wallpaper the previous owner put up.  What are the tools and steps I need to follow to make removing, and more importantly re-installing it later, a breeze?

after posting your question, did you have any luck with the search results that were returned on the ‘Invite Authors’ interface? I am concerned that we are not doing a good enough job of linking in the best possible resources, as I am noticing a lot of questions from people on the site that don’t include any links/authors that they found who might be able to help. thanks in advance for letting me know.

I’m not sure I even noticed that stuff after I posted. I’ll try to pay attention next time I post something and see if those results help. Sorry about that.

no reason to apologize. if you didn’t notice the results, my concern is that we haven’t done a good enough job with the UI, and I want to ensure this isn’t happening with other folks too.
