There are several different religious text that all talk about the end of days. The 2012 date that you are talking about is from the Mayan calendar; it just stops. Whether you believe the world will end or not end is up to you. But here is one of my favorite quotes by Albert Einstein (Random. I know.) “I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

Our world is already middle-aged. It is now suffering a slow ‘death’. It will suffer many different ‘end of the world’ events that will change the climate, reduce biodiversity, deplete resources, and eventually burn up the earth in the sun. How long humans thrive on Earth is connected to all these. And yes, the world may change forever in 2012 but no more or less likeley than in 2013.

Let us ask some question here:
If you have a bird, you build a cage for your bird.
The bird haply enjoys the cage and starts to add some feather and comforts to its cage.
Every day and night, the bird knows that it has a cage to live in it. It does not know when the cage is going to be destroyed.
For or planet, we are like the bird. We just live in it until that last day of each life. The world may be destroyed one day, one day it may be the end of civilization. But that is up to the builder of this planet to know when, how and where the world will be ending.
Just enjoy life and let us help the earth to breathe clean Oxygen. Let us live on it responsibly.
Always think the difference in you. Compare your self to the universe. Did you see physically how minute you are and mentally trying to predict what is going on in the universes?
While we live on this unique, beautiful and green planet; we are unable to understand each other. We are making the world bleed by war, terrorism, hanger, pollution, greed, disease, racism, religious sects and discrimination. While you are unable to correct these man made pains on the Earth, who are you able to know when the world is going to end?
Let us stop being greedy, violent, selfish, inhuman, unfaithful and enjoy our each and every days of life.

He also predicted about daylight saving
