2012 solarflares…
disaster or a new era?
When i first saw the scientists warning i did what i normally do and got to finding out what i could about this disruptice force of our sun. To start with I weeded out the theries of ice ages, north and south polar changes and others simply because i didnt want to get too worried about what may or may not happen, i just wanted to know what the direct threat could be.
What I could find on it was that scientists are mostly worried that the flares they r predicting would be likely to cause wide spread mayhem mostly with our technology, following data and accounts from a massive solar flare hit known to have hit in the 1850’s and others that have disturbed our telecommunications in the past, this in turn could cause riots and lawless communities………………………..
however,
since learning this i have been watching my state go through such heat extremes that we are having trouble keeping up with many blackouts, street and traffic lights out, banking - health - welfare under strain and without power to even keep cool some closing their doors, although we are used to heat, sudden weather changes and drought this must be our worst summer by far, and yet i have seen a kind of human spirit come alive that almost seemed non-existant, while frustrations r rising people r actually comming out of their little shells and experiancing a whole new community, one where instead of people speeding up to beat the light, the number of times i have suddenly been caught out with sudden outages on the road everyone started actually paying attention to each other and i felt safe going through the lights than when they were working, and with not having power to cook or keep cool i discovered many people comming out of their homes, and just like the good old story of stone soup, people shared what they had and have a wonderful time enjoying new company and getting to know the neighbourhood better……….
so i wonder, if we are currently experiencing similar effects to what scientists expect to repeat in 2012, i personally think the riots and lawlass communities are a gross undestimation of the human spirit, somethingi wouldnt have believed myself until wittnessing it over this period!
Just my thoughts for the day!
