say hello to people.

Find a group of people that seem ok and that you would actually like to hang out with. Then find one of the people in that group who isn’t alpha and say “Hey”

For me my freshmen year was hel too, so don’t worry. The headaches will gp away once you get used to the stress level. I joined soccer my freshmen year and made some friends but most of my friends I made in classes that I liked as in English and History, or even on the bus. Start with one or two people, because I know how intimidating walking up to a group is. Just take it slow and one day at a time.

The same thing happened to me. Most girls in my class came from the same district, and knew each others /were already friends..

There were 3 classes made from my age group and I had friends in the other classes so I could have switched classes. I could also have switched school as most kids from my old school went to the highschool accross the street..

But I thought I was strong enough to stick it out. After all, I could meet up with my old friends after school..

It wasn’t easy at first..

The first 4 months were the worst. Trying to see where I could fit in while not looking like a friendless looser.

After a while, I realised what I thought was a tight knit union of girl-friends in my class was just a bunch of kids from the same place. Some were obviously friends, but not all of them. I found 3 girls I started talking to during breaks.. And slowly, over time, I too had friends in class:-)

Remember, you’re never ever the only one without friends. Some just cover it up better..

And joining a group of people isn’t too hard either. Just talk to one of them (find one that you share hobbies etc, with) and over time, you’ll find yourself invited into the group..
