in Southern California, it was found that 48% of drivers did not stop at stop sign intersections on city roads.

Assume that a follow-up study two months later found that 360 out of 800 drivers did not stop at stop sign intersections.

a. Formulate the null and alternate hypotheses assuming the purpose of the follow-up study is to see whether the proportion of drivers who did not stop has changed.

b. Using a = 0.05, what are the critical values for the test, and what is the rejection rule?

c. What is the sample proportion of drivers who did not stop?

d. Compute the value of the test statistic.

e. What are your conclusions?
