go to college again
I can’t even start without the engery to get going…
i have had no morning or evening routine for at least 30-40 years…i have a hard time sleeping and waking up on time…
I need some help…..to get going…to get some kind of drive…
None that I know of.
I takes a while to acquire. Is there a specific area you’re trying to enhance?
yes, self-discipline…
for days and weeks if i am on my own….i get nothing done with my life…
but if i am around someone, i somehow get this extra boost of energy, and can get things done…
But i am on my own 24/7 so, i need something to give me some energy boost…in the self-discipline area.
find a support group or a theropist… wat did u major in in college??
I was in college in the 1980’s have 2 different 2 year degrees, and 1 certificate…but that career is over…
now i just want energy to get my life going again..
Well, May I ask what you’re trying to get self discipline in? Specificly? Like getting up in the morning…? Etc.
i dont think there are any drugs babe.
is there something you reeeeeeeally want to do with your life?
i am so stuck in my life….not so much depressed. jsut can’t get anything done…
i can’t get up at right time, i don’t do anything in terms of a morning routine or evenign routine…
and i need something to give me a boost so i can get stuff done each day and move my life forward…
i’ve asked doctors but they have no ideas…other for me to keep taking synthroid..
You know how some days, you can’t get anything done, and other days, somehow the drive is there and you get tons of things done…
Well i never feel the 2nd one…
I always feel like there’s no energy there…and i keep wanting to get stuff done but no energy to do it…not a physical energy…i don’t feel physically weak, just no energy to get anything done…
no idae how else to describe it….
The symptoms of depression don’t only include being sad. They include low energy, lack of interest, etc. So depression pills may help. Also, there are pills that are used for people with thyroid dysfunction. Basically, the thyroid gives you energy so these pills give you energy. I can’t remember what they are called.
Another thing you may want to consider is just getting up and doing something. Basically, you have to burn energy to have energy. Get a job, volunteer, exercise. I know it sounds impossible, but it works.
You could also check out a new drug called provigil. It is mainly used for people with shift work sleep disorder. It gives them energy for the times when they are awake.
Good luck.
You could be an adult with ADHD or ADD-I’d guess ADD ’cause you ain’t sayin that you are running from project to project leaving a wake of unfinished stuff in your wake. Or maybe you just need to eat better balanced meals and get outside and exert yourself in the out of doors, if you know what i mean. Try some B complex vitamins and some of the Omega 3 and eat some fish, eggs and spinach, arugala more often. An drink that water, som green tea. No soda or junk. If the doc says thyroid maybe the dosage of the synthroid is too low. get it checked again.
and get outside.
dont worry i understand. i either dont sleep one night or sleep the next two. you mean you cant seem to find the will to get up and do something somedays?
no, i can’t get the will do something any day…
I’ve seen both general doctors and endrocinologists, for years….they don’t have an answer…
That’s why i am asking you…do i need to repeat myself?
an I know how to describe it. It’s like the gears in your head don’t engage and days disappear an nothin gets done. you want to sleep early cause you aint gettin anythin done anyway. A job forces routine if you can find somethin worth doin.
Eat better and get outside. I aint kiddin. The whole endorhin from exercise thing will do it for you if you just try it for 2 weeks. really one week will do it, a stroll every other day. or ride your bike.
There are no professionals here, just those of us who have BTDT-Been there, done that. science, creation, how your body works is simple most of the time. Back to basics, hon. B2B.
well said….eat better and get outside….sounds simple….
but it’s hard to get outside in cold minnesota weather…but ya it would help…
and i need something to force routine on me…cuz i can’t get it done myself lol
hmm maybe i have the answer
i think your problem is that you dont have a motivation to keep you going and to do anything…
no. the motivation is there, but the energy or drive isn’t…
maybe your decision making than actually doing it lakes something, do you actually take a decision to do something or not even that ?
Sorry man, is it just a photo edit, or do you not have a left ear?
Frost bite and all, ya know.
This sounds like deficiency of amino acids, vitamin D, the B vitamins…
Check it out. Walgreens is doing buy one get one free this week on vitamins.
Omega 3 with flax, B complex, maybe even SamE. But the first 2 certainly.
Aim to eat at least 6 eggs a week. Get some Skim 1% or 2% milk.
Drink one glass daily. Tea that you brew. Hot or cold 2x daily.
Leafy dark greens in salad as a hot veggie or in soups everyday to start.
Spinach and kale or arugala are great. Romaine if you are a iceburg head.
Fish like salmon or bass at least once a week, but more if you can try others.
Citrus, man. Bananas, and if you can’t get good fresh fruit, go for frozen
strawberries and blueberries.
Some pastas are whole grain. try them. And whole grain breads.
Revitilize your melon, your noggin, your brain by eating for it and not your
cravings. I’m telling you that if you are craving chocolate and chips, this is your out. Feed your brain so the gears can turn.

I WANNA EAT!!!
I have an ear/jaw disformity i was born with, it’s hereditary on my father’s side…
So i have no ear canal on my left side, and so i can’t really hear out of it, and it’s just bad plastic surgery…sadly..
Think back to when you did have the energy, what was it that you did different.I would bet it was taking the synthroid but i could be wrong but one little pill can do wonders.I don’t even like to take the occasional pain reliever for my aches and pains. But I know if it weren’t for putting away that attitude and giving it (medicine) a try, I wouldn’t be here to help others, doing what I love. I always felt like the real me was struggling to get out. Turns out I was right. Even though taking medication is a difficult choice to make for some, it’s also the way out of this situation for many.
The way I look at it is this: If you don’t like the way you feel on medication, you can always stop taking it. But if you are in this situation today, aren’t you curious about the possibility of life without this suffering? For me life before medication was like watching black and white television with crackly sound and a blurred picture. But my life after medication was like television in living color with surround sound! I had no idea what I was missing until I allowed myself to sample both worlds. If you’ve tried everything else and still find yourself struggling and fighting your doctor’s suggestion to take your medication, why not make today the day you reconsider? It is perspective that provides clear vision. The real you may be just be waiting to shine.Like an addict, its up to them to stop making excuses and resist, its up to you to stop making excuses and take the pill. I know it probably states to take it in the morning but truth is it can be taken any time of day.Something is better than nothing.Another thing that comes to mind is your physical health as far as your muscles are concerned, this time where your not exercising your muscles are getting weaker and weaker. In fact exercize as Im sure you know energizes. Also,if you dont do what it takes it could be your getting a ‘reward’ out of it so ask yourself why the excuses, why do you not do what is good for yourself.Maybe the answer is in your past, perhaps when you began to lose hope.{{HUGS}} my good friend,Kim
But i am lacking something that gives you the energy to do anything lol…
I was born with big pituitary problems…
That’s why i need something to take, to eat to drink that will enable me to get anything done…
Two things come to mind.
I have slow days, not all days like you, but some. When I’m having a slow day; I do things that don’t require mush energy like read or watched taped TV shows to make space on the recorder. (Does this sound too lame?) Maybe there are some low energy things you can do like throw a load in the washer and let it run, buy groceries, put out garbage.
On low energy days I might do some exercises while lying in bed, stretches and some yoga moves.
The second thought is to take a blank paper and list every thing you do. This is not a to do list, it is only what you have done. It can be simple like
I woke up.
I got up.
I used the loo.
I straightened the bed.
I ate.
I am a person who always wants to feel I have accomplished something. This listing thing helps me feel that. Even on a low energy day, I can see I have accomplished something.
Hope it helps, stay well.
