I didn’t graduate highschool , because I had abuse at home.

I don’t have any supportive family. I am lesbian. I had a room mate that vandalised an apt. 5 years ago and no one will rent to me. I am an awesome person. I am great at care giving, but no one cares much for me. Do I have any options other than homelessness?

Get your GED if you haven’t already. Find a good job that you enjoy doing. But if you can’t find a good job then join the army (just don’t tell them you are a lesbian because they still don’t allow homosexuals in right now) and then at least you won’t be homeless.
Besides that I don’t know what to tell you honey. No one is going to give you a handout but if you need some advice or just emotional support then that we can do for you.

I am not very smart. I am really dyslexic with numbers and have a.d.d. I don’t need a hand out , because I am a good worker. I just don’t qualify for jobs, because I have been a care giver for someone until they passed and so they aren’t considered a reliable reference , because they weren’t a company. I really wish I could live some where and have a garden. I am in Bend, Oregon

that’s in the states right. Start off by seeking assistance from your local shelter, then the goverment. You would be surprised what a few voulnteer hours can get you anywhere in the world

I’ve been through Bend Oregon before. Pretty country up there. :-)
Well you don’t have to be really smart to get your GED and it is fairly self paced so your a.d.d. shouldn’t cause too many problems.
Now you could get a job at a resturaunt or bar. You’ll make a killer in tips and though not the most glamorous job it does pay the bills.

No one in Bend is hiring , because everything is closing. I have been applying for 3 jobs a day in person or on craigslist, but I am losing hope, because I am not a top pick and there are tons of people with college degrees applying at mcdonald’s. I haven’t heard back from anyone, except that they found someone else. I have no criminal record and am a decent driver , no wrecks.

well could you move out of Bend? Maybe try Portland? Bigger town makes for more job options.

A few jobs on craigslist hired me, but I fell for their scams and they cleaned out my saviings account. I thought I was hired as a nanny twice and they wanted to hold the position by putting $100 in my bank account. They put a fake check and stole all my info and used fake businesses to get my money. I got some money back, but I lived as if I was about to have a good job and didn’t look for other jobs. I have to start selling my stuff now

I’ve never used craigslist so I don’t know how respectible they are. I am sorry to hear that you got scammed though.

I do have a car so travelling is an option, my girlfriend was adopted as a kid and recently met her birth brother. He is amazing and lives here in Bend. We were renting from him , but his landlord wants us to rent a seperate property , because there is a shortage of renters. We lived in Santa Cruz before, but its overcrowded and its $1000 for a room right now ,there. I wasn’t scammed by craigslist, but people in another country that rip off americans

No, you don’t need to do that. There are resources to help you. The first thing to do is go locally in your town and state.
Try this page:
http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/how_do_i.shtml

Look at the housing, food stamps, and cash assistence. Then try googling a local support or career center - there is probably a place in your local area that can advise you. You can do this!

I think their job training might be just what you need… call them tomorrow! Okay sorry that was in so many parts, I’m discombobulated myself. But good luck!
