Family help: I am very afraid of my sibling and try to go out of my way not to see or talk to them. - Help.com

I am very afraid of my sibling and try to go out of my way not to see or talk to them.

This person is extremely controlling, as in trying to tell me what to do with my life, etc. They act like I am a bum and stupid even though I work and study hard. How am I suppose to remedy this kind of a situation without doing anything drastic (so as not to cause anything bad between us or the rest of the family)? Thank you to anyone who responds.

Have you tried talking to your sibling about the way they make you feel? Like sit down and have a heart to heart with them, not yelling or anything, but calmly speaking to them about this issue. I hope this helped..

They aren’t the type of person that you can sit down with a talk to, so it’s always a waste of time. Thank you for your response.
