The good thing about this site is that we are a community and it’s a place where people like me can go to talk when we’re distressed.

Seriously, in general, this is a good place where you can air your problems with little to no judgement and help people with things they would never say out loud.

This place is good to ask more learned people, who you won’t feel embarrassed to ask questions to, questions that you don’t know how to answer. I’d rather ask a question here than ask a question to my parents! Haha!
I wasn’t going to reply but you so often reply to mine I thought I should. Yeah, theres good people on here.
I come here only for the people, the few good people that I do talk to that is,I do not like this site, the way it is run or who runs it.
Its a good site for helping others. The layout of it is terrible though.

To be honest, i don’t take this site or any site seriously. It is a past time. The last time i took this place personally, i got frustrated.
My question was just if anyone sees anything good, and if so, what? Honestly I went way out of my way to ask a question that should be easy to answer positively and constructively by any person who saw it. There’s got to be something good, else why are we here?
For me, somthing good is that I got to ask this question.

i like knowing there a some really nice people out there. it makes me feel like im not alone with my issues.
I like that this site because it gives me the ability to help other people in ways that where not open to me before I found it.
I like this site because I have met many nice and wonderful people here.
I like this site because there is a diverse user base.
I like this site because it gives me something to do when I am bored.
I like this site because I can say personal things that I would not say in the physical world.
I like this sit because People make fun post that make me smile.
I like the helping I love it when someone says thanks me for helping, or Ive been helped, to know that Ive made a diffrence or someones made a diffrence for me, even if only in a small way, makes me keep coming back here.
Thanks babacup and nante! Here’s one cool thing I noticed: If you go on the front page, you can type in the boxes and it can help organize your thoughts. Like, type words in the “Goto tag” box and it brings up a list of all the similarly-spelled tags, telling how many posts for each tag, and it’s an interesting way to think about the posts on the front page, or the site, or other things.

I suppose that explains the whole “troll-moderator” drama, but I still need to see what’s good about it to use it at all, much less effectively. Shared vision or perspective really helps a lot with that (like seeing good screenshots to see how someone else views the internet.)
Well, there are bad things about the Internet… ANd they are really starting to get to me lately too! It’s always hard to interprete why people behave the way they do on here. (And I’m not only talking about the trolls!) Online friendships can really be confusing at times and unfortunately not very reliable.
A lot of people are leaving Help lately, and frankly, I really can’t blame them!
While I’m at it Michael… I’m just wondering…. did I ever do anything to you for you to mark me off your list?? Sorry for asking so directly. It’s nothing personal but I need to understand why people mark others off leaving them to wonder what they did wrong??

Well, you asked a question and I gave you an answer, Michael. If it’s not helpful, then just don’t consider it! Not every answer everyone gives is helpful to the poster, you know…
And yes, you answered my question. I guess we don’t all have the same reasons for adding people to our friends list. I add people that I have respect for and that I believe can be helpful in posts that I come accross… But I guess that’s just me.
I am mostly on this website to be helpful to others. THat’s my first priority.
If I make friends along the way, I consider that a bonus.
We obviously don’t all see things in the same light.

I’m alive now cause at point when I decided to quit life, they replied telling me that I’ll be fine.
I love this site cause I feel safe here…It’s amazing how people who ahven’te ven met help one another here…and here, you know that the help extended to you doesn’t come with a string attached to it…Sometimes, people help cause they think that you’d be of use to them later…but right here on this site, you know that people who help here are sincere in their action cause they won’t get anything more from you when they help you. They can’t use you as future reference, or future lender, future job backer etc. Here, people help cause they want to. No one is obliged to help here…unlike outside this site when sometimes, people are negatively compelled to help and they sometimes expect something in return.
I love it here cause I get to help others and others get to help me.

Help.com is suposed to be a site where people can get helpfull answers. Too many times, people use it to start a conversation or a controversy, and that is what is happening here.
Well, yeah, there are some drawbacks, but it is lots of fun to type in the little “help box” on the front page. And there was something else good too, it was magic and amazing, and so perfect, but I don’t quite remember exactly what it was.

It gives someone something to do if they have no tv.
It’s better than tv because it’s interactive. And you can help people. That’s useful.

yeah? its got nice skies. It’s soooo cold though in the winter and so humid in the summer, like the seasons there suck. And there’s nothing to do. But it’s not a bad bad city. Car insurance is cheap.

People give each other unique, unstructured, unlabeled advice. There are also some innovative questions on here as well as many people with big hearts.

hahahaha whats wrong with the north end? Do you know where the Howard Johnson near the airport is?
The airport is not near as bad as the north end.
