would it be a bad idea…

to download a trial version of world of warcraft? i’m afraid i’ll get addicted lol. i’ve never played it before. i’m a girl too… is that weird?

While online computer games were mostly dominated by men in the early days, more women than ever are now playing. So it’s not weird at all.

Games like World of Warcraft are extremely addicting due in large part to their social aspect. You get to meet lots of people, make lots of friends, and have lots of people rely on you. They seem to connect with people on a more emotional level than play-by-yourself games. It’s kind of like a chat room on steroids.

So if you are in college, I definitely suggest you stay away from it because it will take time away from your studies. However it can really a good place to have fun, escape for a while, and build self esteem. So use your best judgment.
