My boyfriend and I been going out for a year. - Help.com

My boyfriend and I been going out for a year.

I just recently broke up with him, because we have not been getting along, getting on each other nerves to an unhealthy point. I basically was the “DO-ER” in the relationship where he was the reciever. I got fed up. He thinks all I do is complain and nag. I built enough courage to tell him that we need to break it off. Today, I find that he contacted this girl that he used to like before me, but she happened to not like him. But she regret it after she found out I was with him. I never really let her get into the relationship. I really love him, I know he loves me too. Should i put a stop to him talkin to her? I know he’s just doing it because he’s stressed, trying to find any one to make him happy. In his “careless, crazy, emotional mode” aha THE THING IS…I DONT THINK THIS IS THE END OF US…. =/

He’s a manipulator. He knows how to get people to give him what he wants. Don’t give in to him. If possible, let the other girl know what he’s like. But BE NICE!

You should try and think of your relationship with him only. Ignore the fact that other females may be involved. You broke up with him for a reason, don’t let jealousy, fear, or self-doubt cloud your better judgement. If you want to be with him then try to get back together. If you have decided you are better off without him then stick to your guns. Just because you love him does not mean you should be with him.

You said it, he is looking for anyone to make him happy, either he has already moved on from the relationship and is starting a new one, or he is trying to make you jealous. Either way you do not need to respond. Sometimes things don’t work out, you break up and move on. It is hard at first, but you have to do what is right for you.
