i havent seen him in 17 years, i am getting married in 4 months…i have a son, there are so many things i want to ask him, and tell him, but all my searches are endless:(

I feel for you. I see the same desire to reconnect with her roots in my half-sister. She has a similar situation to yours. Maybe one of the Help.com users has an idea that can help you.

What kinds of strategies have you already tried for finding your missing father? Maybe we can think of an idea that you overlooked. Write back with more info as a reply to your original question.

If you are about to bring a new life into this world (or continue with your own life) it sounds like you want nothing but positive experiences in the future.

I don’t know anything about your Dad, but if there is any possibility he would have a negative impact on your sense of self, your identity, your family, your new child, or your relationship with the father of your child, then I would caution you before you seek to expolore this link to your past.

I feel that the truth of our identity, existance and reality is within us all, deep within our hearts, there for us to look at if we want to. If your Dad hasn’t had much contribution to your life other than his genetic information, perhaps it would be best to leave it at that.
