Yes it is.
The old chat caused enormous amounts of lag to the site, and to chat itself, and was taking up vital server space.
It has been replaced with a Meebo chat room, which will be of lesser strain on the site than the previous chat.

I’m not sure at the moment, but I’m sure there’s no chance we’ll go back to the previous chat.

I like the no lag, lol. And PMing, being able to mute certain users for yourself.
I did like being bale to click on someone’s name and going to their profile, but that however is gone now.

Hopefully everyone will just accept it in the end, it is better for the site!

My first reaction is that this is going to be the end of my participation. I can see an enormous amount of issues. Too bad, I enjoyed helping and taking a break. If I wanted meebo, I would have been there.:(

The Chat room wasn’t really heaps of helping anyway, just a chill out relax, chat type thing, lol.
