i think its heart breaking.. the number of people that have died, its just horrible. I was watching the news and the put up some of the faces of the people who hadnt made it and i couldnt help but cry

i cant believe these people would do something like that i just have any words to describe it. They should get life if their caught. at one point we thought one of the fires was heading our way but they managed to put it out

was watching sunrise this morning and $31.7 mil had been raised by the time i got home it was up to $40mil or something, and apparently they’ve been lighting even more fires? over 1000 homes destroyed to rubble and 181 deaths, which might rise to 300?. i reckon that the arsonists to blame should get death penalty but we don’t have that do we, i think it came out to be 4000+ years @25 years per death.
i was almost in tears when watching the broadcasts through out the day, its just sad how anyone could do such a thing, its just so horrible to see whole communities that took decands to put together wiped out in just a matter of minutes ‘cuz of some heartless d**khead having selfish fun

Well, for starters, I hope some of my family and friends are ok. I haven’t heard anything yet. Secondly, I’m glad I’m in the opposite direction (I’m in S.A) because I really don’t feel like moving again.

im glad im not to far north, at least those floods have only mother earth to blame, she can do as she pleases :P,

i dont know anyone physically affected by the fires but i sure am affected, i never thought that the money raised would hit $40mil untill satday, but i guess i dont know australia very good

yeah when i heard about people stealing stuff… that was just unbelievable, i mean as if things wern’t bad enough. what those familys are going through must be some of the greatest pain and for people to come an do that after we’ve already had arsonists is just pathetic. i was a bit suprised by how much we had raised but i was definetly proud

I read that Horsham was hit, and I have family there, so I’m just hoping everything is ok. I’ve had my phone off the hook for a few days, so I probably haven’t heard anything. If it was urgent though, I’m sure I would have gotten a message somehow. I’m also glad that no reports are near Weraby.

I don’t think I need to have someone affected by the fires personally for it to get to me. I was born in Victoria, so it hits a spot with me. I’m known to not be very patriotic about Australa (yeah yeah I know, I’m a traitor, I get that a lot. Lol) but I’m not heartless. There’s some things I do love about this country, and for some reason it’s those things that keep getting destroyed. Victoria, The Murray River, etc. I think I might be a curse.
