Beauty help: I am hungry but I can’t let myself eat. - Help.com

I am hungry but I can’t let myself eat.

I hate my body everything about it. I’m not asking for for anything only to know does everybody or even all girls feel like this? This constant battle between hunger and beauty. And not even if it’s about weight I mean there’s always a battle for beauty; stretch marks, scars, unwanted body hair, spots.. I mean why does it have to be so hard? Why can’t we all just be beautiful??

Why is what your body looks like so important to you? Did someone teach you that a women’s role is just to sit around looking perfect?

Only disaster can result from that kind of goal … the disaster of hunger, the disaster of anorexia, the disaster of realizing that we all get old and change and turn into what some people think of as “ugly” or, at least, imperfect.

Where will you be then?

You need some counseling, dear person, to help you form more realistic goals that will lead to a better, more achievable, more enjoyable form of satisfaction.

You need to learn to eat, drink, exercise, be merry, and spend your energies doing things you ENJOY, not things that will make you look a certain way to people who do NOT have your best interests in mind. Work on your character, and work on finding ways to have fun and BE fun. Right now, you are very hung up on all the wrong things. They won’t make you happy, and they won’t bring you love.

Hey kiddo.
5HTP is a dietary supplement which is also a appetite suppressant, so when you take it every day you’ll feel less hungry.
The good thing is that its a natural antidepressant too, so you’ll enjoy eating more when you do eat.
You can get it direct online, delivered overnight, and it takes about a week to start working.

Ok, let me start off by saying that i used to hate how i look so much, i just feel sick. But you have to realize that beauty shouldn’t be defined by what others think. you must feel in your heart that you are beautiful. You have to accept your self before any changes can be made. i’m 5′8 and weigh 175 pounds. i know i have some work to do, i want to lose 35 pounds before i think i will feel really healthy and beautiful. And although i know there are things on my body that i want to work on and change, i still think i am beautiful.

another thing that i learned is that starving yourself will only make you fatter. even though you may be eating less, doesn’t mean you will get skinny. When you don’t eat for long periods of time, and then eat because you cant stand the hunger anymore, your body stores everything you eat, because it doesn’t know when you will get food next. so not eating causes you to store everything you do eat instead of burning it off for energy. Eating five or six small portins a day (portions the size of one of your fists) will allow your body to work like it’s supposed to. instead of storing everything you eat, it burns it as energy because it knows more energy will be coming later.

Also, you cant just let yourself sit and mope around all day thinking about how fat you are, and then starve yourself. Your just creating lower self esteem and a fatter unhealthy body. Instead, eat small portions of food throughout the day, and strive to do an activity that gets you moving.

to start out, you don’t need to plan on running for an hour a day. you work up to that. just try and remind yourself to do 30 crunches, or jump around to three of your favorite songs in your bedroom. it takes less than five minutes. even though its not alot, it gets you thinking about your health, and reminds you that you do want to lose weight. just take small steps at a time. you’ll soon work your self up to 30 minute workouts.and by doing this, you will lose your weight in a healthy way, and you’ll feel better about yourself.

Don’t think about how fat or skinny you are, think about your health. the more your lifestyle consists of healthy thoughts and actions, the weight will come off. and you will love and feel amazing about yourself.

Really just believe you can, and be aware of what your doing.

You are beautiful, and theres nothing wrong.

THink positive and positive will be your outcome :)

And i am serious. i really did feel like you do, and it’s horrible. please, just change the way you think. and you will change physically and emotionally.

Even one push up a day is better than nothing, at least your taking a step towards better health. when you do eat, make sure its healthy, or as healthy as you can get it. don’t complain and then eat a McDonalds burger, it’s contradicting. and if you do mess up and eat a burger, don’t beat yourself up, just know that your next meal wont be a burger, maybe make it a sub with lots of veggies and meat but not dressing.

ok i’m done now.

Im in treatment for bulimia now and let me tell you eating disorders are not the answer. Anything is healthy in moderation so dont listen to any of the people above me who answered this question besides the first person. First of all you need to eat, and 3 balanced meals a day. You need:

Breakfast:
3 servings of starch
1 dairy protein
1 frut
1 fat

Lunch:
3oz meat or 6oz tofu
2 servins of starch
1 fruit
1 veggie
2 fats

Dinner:
3oz meat or 6oz tofu
2 servins of starch
1 veggie
2 fats

And also 3 times a week you need dessert (it can count as a fat) and not like fruit or something but a peice of cake or 2 cookies or a pudding. You need to eat all of this, eve if your not hungry, eat mechanically.
Also, you can add on 1-2 extras each day.
This is the nutrition they eforce at the renfrew centers where i am now.

Please do this!
its for your own good.
Ive been hospitalized and trust me its not fun, eating disorders are deadly.
