What citrus fruit is this?

A friend was eating a fruit. She said it was a pomegranate, but I think she was wrong. It looked like a grapefruit, except a bit larger. She peeled it like an orange and age the fruit in the slices but ate around the white part in the center of each slice. The color was reddish/orange and the fruit had the texture of a grapefruit.

More than likely a grapefruit. Pomegranate has seeds inside of it.

I don’t think it’s a grapefruit because it doesn’t peel like a grapefruit, it’s bigger than a grapefruit, and it’s sweeter than a grapefruit
