When the stim pack is approved, then depending on your income, age, tax status and what you are doing regards centrelink etc. and you have had to pay taxes last year.

If you eran between 12,000 and 80,000 a year and done a tax return for the year 07 08 then you will get 900 not the expected 950 I’m in for 3,600 so yea I’m really keen it should start to come out early march

I dont think job seekers get it, I think it is students and such, FTB B only, if you paid tax last year.

It is $900 if you earn up to $40k
$500 from $40k - $80k
$300 from $80k - $90k

It starts getting handed out in March and April. For those getting it because of Family Tax benefit, it will be in July I think, with their normal Tax Return-esqe payment.

You can check this, but I am pretty sure this is how it goes.

No, it should be fine. I think it goes into your bank account or you get a cheque depending how you did your taxes.

HI,
I had a full time job but no longer work there and am having trouble finding work (applied for over 100 jobs in a month and still no luck), I have completed my Tax for 07/08 and am currently recieving assistance from the government would I be entitled to this payment too? It doesnt really make sense that job seekers wouldn’t get it after all we are the people that need it to feed ourselves!

Yes, way too late. Your tax return for 2007/08 was due in September at the latest. It has already been rolled out and is just waiting to go into the banks and so on.
