How can I pay for college?

I know I could get loans and find scholarships, but is there anything else I could do while I’m still in High School?

salliemae.com… you can set up an easy payment plan with your school of choice and you don’t have to start paying on your loan until after you graduate. My payments are only $70 a month for 6 years… not bad!

It’s very admirable that you don’t want your parents to spend their savings and retirement money.

But just remember that a college education will help you find a high paying job. And once you get your career going, you will be able to help your parents out financially.

So my suggestion is for you to talk to your parents about them “loaning” you their money. Tell them that it is an investment in your future. And then work out a repayment plan with them.

That way everyone wins. You get to go to college, and they don’t have to worry about losing all there money.

What do you think?
