No don’t worry about that. Stay here and help make folk’s lives better. Be the one who connects bridges together to help make people understand a misunderstood situation. Just because there may be some bad statements dosen’t mean that you can’t do your part. That’s just like jumping in a pig bin, just because there’s dirt dosen’t mean that you have to get dirty.

WE are losing MY country? And who were the natives of America before the western Europeans invaded? I don’t think native Americans were Christian.

No, no, no. It’s Christian extremism and fundamentalism that is about to destroy our nation.

Are you sure it’s not greed and money and the need of stuff, and people taking each other out by wanting to get more stuff.

The laissez-faire attitude in the economy has been around since the founding of our nation. Christian reconstructionism only arose circa 1950.

Then there’s also technology. It may be better now then it was back in the day, but on a negative note the more it advances the more people seem to be corrupt. It seems like people are becoming worse and I think it has something to do with it. Also that’s why people may be loosing their jobs, because they have machines doing all the work now and people are becoming lazier.

Well. If you see a lot of people doing bad things, you have to wonder who they are. And hey. Christians compose over 75 percent of the American population. Hint.

I have to agree with Fusion’s previous statement about greed. Though I am not an American, in today’s papers here they published a crook and mortgage fraudster, how did he intentionally cheated out money from millions of people. In the article he described himself as ONE of the predatory lenders and mortgage fraudsters responsible for the evisceration of the once mighty US economy. His name is Christopher Warren, a fugitive who declares himself an atheist and not as a Christian. I am not saying all atheists are like him. Eventually he was caught in the borders of Niagara Falls and Buffalo and was shipped back to California. He admitted to learn all his tricks with the Ameriquest Mortgage Company. He said his managers taught him of mortgage frauds. By the time he was 22, he was solely responsible for $75 million in fraudulent mortgages. This is just one case of what start to come out now. It has nothing to do with anybody’s religious beliefs.

It depends on the issue. Gross monetary wealth is not an issue that depends upon religious belief. There are well known preachers who have evaded taxes and embezzled their congregations for millions.

However, I can’t think of any secular group opposing stem cell research, a technology that could improve the quality of life for countless ill individuals.

I can’t think of any secular group that hates people for being homosexual, thinks they are ill, or wants to make homosexuality a capital crime.

I can’t think of any secular group that wants to force citizens to affirm a particular religious doctrine, and make them live by its laws.

There are limits to everything. About the stem cell stuff, it may be for a good reason but sometimes good intentions can have bad outcomes and there is just some stuff that man wasn’t meant to mess with.

Oh yeah about the last couple of things, there are plenty of people like that you just don’t see them because they say what they really think behind close doors.

Just saying that a person shouldn’t do something isn’t a valid reason for not doing it.

And you can’t throw in that red herring. There are a lot of Christian fundamentalist extremists doing bad things.

Like I said, it’s not up to somebody’s religious belief howfradulent they are but how greedy they are. I really have to meet yet one devotedly religious person who would do what Christopher Warren did. Preachers and cheaters who boast about how religious they are, actually they are not. Religious or not, believer or not, if someone is a fraud is a fraud. I have not seen a devotedly religious person swearing in the name of his/her religion to cheat out people from their home or wealth.

I agree, if someone decides to do something bad then it’s not because of their religion it’s because they chose to do something bad.

Soul just a message to say you’re one of my favorite people on this forum, ignore the people who try to ridicule you because they’re just clueless. Preoccupy your time with people who appreciate what you say! (like me!)

Hope you feel better,
Matt

I believe we are loosing my country (The United States of America). The Christian values that made her strong are no longer respected. I no longer wish to be here on help.com to be ridiculed. The chicanery is more than I want to deal with at the present time. Blood is in the streets and they are mopping it up with the flag. Goodbye
