I think it is appalling that a local council has withdrawn funding for a **** Georges day parade on the grounds that it is racist.

What is wrong with the people of this country? I for one am proud to be English and will not, under any circumstances, refrain from celebrating my countries national saints day. If people are offended by that tough bloody sh*t!

It is about time the people in this country started standing up to the polliticians who are supposed to represent us.

The U.S. is that way too. It is great to be proud of your heritage unless you are white. If a white person shows any pride then we are racists and bigots. Like I said in another thread, I am so tired of having to be PC. In fact I think from this point on that I am no longer going to be PC. From now on if I think it I am going to say it.

Not at all headless chicken. I don’t have a problem with people from other countries living in the uk. I am just fed up of being told everything English is racist! A couple of years ago the local council told pubs not to hang **** Georges flags outside. Why the hell not? **** Patricks day is celebrated with partys all over the UK, targeted marketing campaigns, and nothing said about it. Why can’t we have that kind of pride in **** George and England without the bloody pc brigade moaning about it.

England has a long and interesting history and I for one am bloody proud to be English! If somebody living in England has a problem with English people celebrating English history the **** off and live somewhere else!
