Help help: should I run away? - Help.com

runing away is not the answer.. your parents are going to find you, and after runing away they might be more upset

What you should do is NOT SWEAR at your mum.

You need to quit acting like a spoiled little child. You are 13 and if you want your parents to treat like an a young woman then you need to start acting like one. Learn to show some respect and you won’t get your butt beat any more.

Running is never a solution. Apologize to your mom. She didn’t deserve what ever it was you said. it was said out of anger; I understand that. You have (hopefully) cooled down some by now.

Jules is right. Behave like a grown up if you feel you are one. And show some respect to your parents. Doesn’t matter if you are a girl or a guy. I am sure you got the point.

You did something wrong, you got punished, get over it. Dont’ do it again and you won’t have anything to worry about.

In the eyes of a parent if you act like a child we will treat you like one, and yes, when my 13 y/o acted childish he got spanked. And now you talk of acting even moe childsih by running away from home. If you want to be treated as an adult act like one..

Here is a good piece of advise someone told me a long time ago. Always talk to your mom like it is the last time you will ever see her.

My mom was killed in a fire I can honestly say that I never said anything to her that I ever regretted.

Lol. My mama still smacks me if mess up. Good thing she doesn’t see me on a daily basis these days…I’d be smacked everyday, but never for disrespecting her.

I just prefer music that means something to me. The only thing decent I’ve found in today’s music is a few country songs, and Josh Groban.

You want to hear some good music? Listen to some Queen or The Beatles. I could list a whole different set of genres and different eras. Most of which my parents grew up with.
