So? It’s just a ring. It might turn up, and anyway,

Oh man, that sucks. It is really hard to realize that a friend is a thief. DO you have homeowners or renters insurance that might cover the loss.

Pffft. Like Friendlyheart and Ikari have mentioned, it’s a ring. It’s a stupid piece of materialistic value and it means nothing. Your love means more than a stupid man-made circle of tin.

The ring only helps accentuate that the happy couple really love each other. No ring needed if their true love is meant to be.

That is such a sad story. I know people are saying that it’s only a ring. It didn’t feel that way to you, did it? It was something that you worked hard to save up and buy. You took time to pick it out and went to a lot of work to plan this party. It symbolized happiness, security, love, and a future with a very special person.

How did it happen, was the box in your pocket? in a jacket? on a counter? I bet that the person that took it is probably feeling pretty lousy, especially after seeing you cry. Are they all people that you’ve known for a long time?

~Tell all of these people that you are inviting them all over again.
~Tell them all ahead of the party date that you won’t ask any questions, but one by one, you want them to go to a ballot box in your kitchen.
~Give them each a paper to write on.
~Tell them that you want the ring back in the ballot box, and that nobody will suspect it’s them bc everybody will have a chance to go to the kitchen, one at a time.
~Maybe put an empty tin can in the ballot box. When the ring hits, if it hits, you’ll know who did it.
~Tell them that you are sorry, but if you don’t get your ring back, that you will have no choice but to go to the police with a list of attendees, and that you already spoke with every pawn shop owner for two hundred miles.

or Write a list of all of the people that were there and what time it went missing. File a police report.
