Take the extra moment to let him notice.
Give it a couple days, say hi in passing.

It all depends on what you want.

Make eye contact and smile.
Or just go up to talk to him.

Be sure not to stare though.
Make sure that he is looking at you.
And make sure that he is not creeped out or feels awkward.
