a blog is pretty much an area to rant or post your thoughts about something, some people write them daily as like a diary.

But I really didn’t see where you could post…I suppose you have to log in first or something lol

It’s letting you know to check there to find out about what updates are going to be done instead of hoping you get invited to a post about it. This way anyone can check it.

you have to submit things to be posted there and they are approved by a mod, if I was told correctly

If you were here before you may have noticed yellow info bars towards the top when something big was going on. They usually lead to posts. This is basically the same thing.
