Stop the Carnage, Save the Children

In this the information age I find it surprising how little is known about the human condition. We call ourselves well educated and even enlightened, yet so much is unknown. Did you know that for at least three decades the media has been using one group of fellow humans as targets? Are you aware that as a result some of this group are now dead and have taken with them your loved ones? This will happen again yet I know not where or when. “Can we change this you ask?” Yes you can but it means that you need to change. You see you have fallen for what is equal to a lie and to change this you must see the truth. Now my mother taught me that if you withhold the facts or even most of them it is as if you lied. That’s right the media has been withholding the facts and as a result innocent people are now dead and more will die. Now some who read this will say I am feeling sorry for myself. Others will say I do not know what I am talking about. Some will see themselves to any who do please tell your story to the world. Remember my friends, “The pen is mightier than the sword.” Please use your words not a gun.
Am I feeling sorry for myself? No not at all. In fact as you read this you will see that is your children I feel sorry for. Do I know what I am talking about? Well I was born with this and now as I face my fiftieth birthday I tend to think I do. Now please understand I am one of hundreds of thousands so I can only tell you my story. Although I have spoken with several people from around the world and all too often we have all been though this. For the most part the first twenty five years of my life I felt as if I were little more than a human punching bag. NO NOT my parents fact is they never hit me. The beatings I went through came from my peers and some siblings. I was ridiculed and harassed daily. I suffered verbal abuse, physiological abuse, emotional abuse, and as I told you physical abuse. Today I still suffer all but the physical abuse, thankfully the beatings have stopped. Yet more painful than all you have put me through is knowing that as you read there are children suffering my fate. As we learn more about this more and more children are found to have it. For most it is controllable for some hospitalization is required, some times for life. Now in case you still do not know I like many others am mentally ill and that is what this is about. You have all heard in the news about the shootings that take place at our schools. The media call them senseless and for weeks everyone questions why. At some point in almost every case the media and the authorities learn the shooter was mentally ill. This is what they tell you is the reason for these shootings. Now I will not say that it has nothing to do with it but I know for a fact that it is not the reason for it. Both the media and the authorities have failed all of society by stopping their investigations when they learn the shooter was mentally ill. Should they ever continue and learn all they can about the shooter the truth would come out. They would learn from his family he was shy a home body with few friends if any. That in school he was picked on and bullied. Now you need to understand many of us that are “picked on and bullied” use very different terms for what we went through. We say “verbal abuse and physical abuse” and make no mistake that is what it is. Now I ask you after ten to fifteen years of abuse at the hands of all around you is it possible that you might be dangerous? Yes it is, one thing all humans share is put us under enough stress and we will snap. True for most that point takes a lot more than we go through in life. Yet this shooter was being tormented for within in addition to what others were doing to him. Now let me be very clear this is not something I condone it is not the way to stop the abuse or the pain. We the mentally ill must prove we are not the blood thirsty monsters that the media will have the world believe. So I call on you now my fellow suffers take up your keyboards tell the world what you have been through.
Please stop the carnage save the children.
