transfer text or image to a wall

I am working with an art project and I need to transfer some handwritten text onto a wall. I can not use screen-printing because it would not allow me to reach into the corners. Adhesive vinyl would also not be suitable. Does anyone know any other methods? Thanks a lot, Matteo

That question has stumped me. I took the liberty of forwarding your question to some craft and art bloggers. Hopefully they will write back with some suggestions. These are the sites I forwarded your question to:

Hey, I got an answer from extremecraft. I’ll insert it below:

“I’m not sure about the end result that your user is wanting…I’m a big fan of graphite transfer paper–I use it all the time in my ceramics…that would give them the shape and handmade quality…they could permanently paint over the graphite lines by hand, or put some sort of sealant over the graphite…it depends on what quality they want in the end. I also love lazertran transfer paper…they could copy or inkjet the text onto the lazertran, and apply the lazertran to the wall…. (www.lazertran.com). What about trying temporary tattoo paper? They could print onto the paper, wet it, and apply it to the wall.
That wouldn’t leave any covercoat…you would still have to put some sort of sealant over it, though. If I think of anything else, I’ll holla.

Best,
Garth”

This is kind of an old-school technique, but I love using a good old overhead projector to project the lettering onto the wall, and then trace that with pencil, and then paint the outlines in. You can make a transparent sheet very easily by photocopying your text onto a sheet of acetate. The overhead projector makes it so easy to adjust the size right on the wall. Hope that helps!

Thanks Garth for forwarding my question, and thanks sister Diane for your advice.
I’m still pondering on what technique to choose, but this is of some help.
I emailed Lazertran to ask if their product can be applied on a wall, and I’m waiting on a reply.
Best, Matteo
