Today i mark her passing and celebrate her life.
Today my grandmother died. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met who was never mean or nasty to anyone or any thing. She was a great mother and grandmother and i wanted to share her story and memory. She was a strong and independent woman who had to be strong to survive. She spent most of her life alone since her divorce but had good friends and a single son and grandsons she loved. She never had another partner since her divorce at a very young age, but she was strong… she suffered having had tuberculosis and had practicaly no lung function….. but she survived with a smile and love for those around her for so many years despite what all doctors thought…….. she was alone most her life living by her self…..she still stayed strong……. In her final 3 years she suffered with alzhiemers never knowing where she was or what she was doing, but her family was her only comfort and she smiled when she saw them always.
She used to be a dancer on stage and worked as a cashier so was still as sharp as a knife with money till she died today.
This was my grandmother who i loved hugely and saw so much of my self in. She is an inspiration to me to be strong when you have so much adversity and to still remain loving to all.
good bye nanna You will live on in me for as long as i walk this earth and i will never forget you or stop loving you.
Your grandson
