Is This good
Blood dripping down your arms
Razor going deep in your skin.
The pain rushing in from the cuts
But it gets rid of stress, pain, hurt, and sadness
i’m writting poems for class how do you think this sounds.

Where were you?

I don’t like the last line, it doesn’t fit the rhyme scheme.
Its also somewhat depressing. ^^ But thats part of the art I suppose.
too dark for my taste. Why not something more upbeat?
“The crimson flux sheds the pain,
Washes the torment away…”?
I’m not a poet though. ^^
Go ahead. :)
You need to change your name… just plain freak is more suitable. Why not write about something a little more inspirational than abusing your body
Poetry should flow from the heart and soul. This is a travesty of poetic expression. There must be something real you can express for your class.
cause that is what i do. abuse my body i like the feeling of blades going in my arm. it feels goood :)
Would you like to discuss that?
Yes, what compels you to cut yourself? I can’t imagine its THAT fun.
family problems i got thrown into a group home so my mom can go out and party all night with out being worryed about me.
Perhaps poetry really could help you here; find a poetic voice, and replace the compulsion to cut yourself with the relief you feel through artistic expression.
So you feel your mother is neglectful towards you? Do you cut yourself to force her attention?
kinda i have so much hate for my family inside of me. i cut to release it i want my mom mto close her legs long enough just for me to tell her that she has mess
Is it that sometimes the pain inside has to come to the surface, and when you see evidence of the pain inside you finally know you’re really here? Then, when you watch the wound heal, it’s comforting isn’t it?
I’m going to tell you something, are you ready to listen?
You are not to blame for how you feel; your self-injury is an expression of powerful negative feelings and it’s not your fault - regardless of what anyone else says.
Think about your anger and what you do with it. If you weren’t busy being angry with yourself, who would you really be angry with? Your life has worth. It has value. And NEVER think for a moment that you need somebody else to justify your existance. Fulfillment is your birthright. Don’t ever let anyone take that away from you.
Now, you will never. Ever. Cut yourself again. Do you understand? Do I make myself absolutely clear? You’re over that now. Its in the past.
Try to find ways to make your life less stressful, give yourself occasional treats, eat healthily, get plenty of sleep and build physical activity into your life, because this is known to boost self-esteem and lift low moods.
Creativity is a powerful tool against despair. This doesn’t have to be about making something. Whatever lifts you out of your pain and makes you feel good is creative. If you feel like it, try drawing or painting how you feel. Some people draw on themselves, using bright body colours.
If you feel moments of weakness, call a close friend, or some here and make a post for support.

Do we have a deal?
Be strong, my friend. :)
****CLAPS**** for Sheppard and for Mathfreak1
that’s awesome. I use to have an addiction. It was bc I craved something, but didn’t know how to get it. I won’t say what it is, but I cured it myself. Everytime I was feeling the urge, I promised myself I had to do something I hated. I hated exercise. When the urge struck, it was time to walk. 10 minutes. That’s all. next time, was another 10 minutes. I hated walking, scared of men that would see me, so I eventually made myself stop having the urge, so I could quit walking. I lost 25 lbs first, but I needed to anyway, so it was win/win.
You could try walking. Or cleaning the toilet. OR washing all of the dishes. drawing or being creative with material or paint or wood is cool too. It releases something that is stored inside of you, and brings it right out to the open, which is exactly what you want! You might get attention from them too. Use them for your avatar. It would be cool!
