Ignorance help: Rant due to convo w/ random person - Help.com

I think its hard for anyone with firm beliefs to understand someone who has beliefs opposite of their own or different from theirs. Especially if the don’t want to nor care to understand. However, don’t fret over this, I completely understand your situation coming from a similar situation myself.

Im not upset about it, I just wanted to rant because it confuses me. I just dont understand it sometimes. I hate ignorance

I agree…Ignorance is very frustrating. I got screamed at by a catholic minister because I refused to have my daughter baptized. He felt I was damning her to hell and i was going too! I just feel that she should choose her own religion and faith and have the opportunity to follow that when she gets older, obviously he didn’t understand this.

That kind of stuff pisses me off too, I play online games, and I used to get that ALL the time being a single mom, they’d ask me why I am not on all the time, I’d let them know, I work 14 hour days, so they’d ask why I’d say because I need to support myself and my child, they’d ask where her father is so I’d tell him he was a dead beat piece of sh*t loser a*s mother f*cker who used to steal from me and my daughter, beat me and hit her as a baby, I left and met another loser that was just as bad as he and that is the nice version of it! I’m happy without a man in my life all I need is my child a dog and a vibrator. (Of course now I’m married) Normally when I was plain blunt and biatchy about it they got the hint if you make a comment about it I’ll rip your proverbial head off.

Me saying I hated ignorant people was not in any way meant to come out as asians are ignorant. No no no no no. That would make me ignorant just for thinking that. I do not believe that at all. Im just saying that people who are not open to the ways of life that other people live are ignorant, that goes out to every region of the world but no single region consists of ignorant people in general.
