All States are suppose to implement 211 for help. You may try this number to see if this service is active in your area. If it does work, ask for Utility Assistance to Prevent Cut Off. If they can’t help you, ask what Agency may be able to help you.

I hope the best for you!

Depending on who the electric company is, most companies offer options for payments. Have you tried calling and talking to your company? If you did and that didn’t work you have a few options: 1. If you live in the United States, go to your local dhs office and explain your problem. 2. Pawn something. Or more than one thing if you have to. 3. Get a temporary loan. 4. By as much battery/generator powered things as you can to survive no electricity. Other than that, you got me? I called my electric company when I got the pink slip from them (at the time I think my kiddo was like 4 months old). I explained that I had an infant, they set up a pay it off schedule for me, dividing the payment up into four months. While I had to pay the monthly bill afterward it really helped out. Also Entergy offers services to those less fortunate. You can get a reduced rate on your electricity through them if you are in a situation of financial hardship.

On the bright side, people survived without electricity before, otherwise you wouldn’t be here. Maybe there is somewhere you could stay till you could afford electricity.

Look in the phone boo under county services, some counties offer assistance to mother,s, we used to be on the women, infants and children’s program as well.wic for short. It was a little humiliating to use vouchers for food, but humility can be a good thing for the right reason. You can also ask parents, friends, churches to help

Call all the Churches in your area, and ask them if they have a “Hardship Fund”. This might be of help.
