When I registered a domain it was like $10 for a year, if I remember right. Something pretty cheap. Some webhosting services will pay the registration fees if you use their expensive webhosting plan. Sorry that those aren’t direct answers to your question.

I know it’s not too expensive but it’s not for me. Long story short my friends are trying to set up a gaming clan and wanted a more professional site…they started with a myspace. Luckily I got them over to Ning before they sent people to the myspace(it was well…myspace). Would like to be able to have just www.clanname.com/org/net

Maybe. I know some places make money just by having a site with the ads and such. Gotta figure out how that works. Anyone here know how to make money with ads?

I know it’s easy to sign up for the google ad programs, but making money requires a lot of different people to be viewing your site and clicking ads.

I looked a little bit for you just now, but I’m kind of tired… a search for “free domain registration” is what could possibly find your own www.yourname.com. If you could come up with the ten dollars, though, then that name is yours for a year. I know that a ning network can be made with a personal domain-name, but that might be one of the pay options.

yea the 3rd one you make money off of the ads if you use them on your webpage, so i would suggest just paying for the domain and than putting sum ads on your website so you can earn money from them and it will pay for your domain name and possibly give you sum extra cash.. IT just all depends on your clans popularity

At the moment we have Left 4 Dead, COD4, COD WaW, and Halo3. I think they are adding a GOW2 or GOW squad soon but I am not sure.

Domains?

I have been looking for a free domain web host but haven’t found any that are all that great. I am using Ning at the moment but wanted a cleaner URL. like www.mysite.com
Anyone know of any good free hosts that do that, that do NOT require you to register a credit card.
