what would I even do with a blog?
But that is what I already do on the posts. So what kind of advice would I give on the blogs?
Not everyone comes to help for the chat, in fact there’s alot of people who despise the chat room, however, people should be aware the update are really on the Blog section of this website, help update’s that is.
Well I use to like the chat room but then they changed it somehow and now it won’t load for me anymore. So I just stay on the posts. But now that I know that the updates are in the blog section I’ll check on them from time to time to see what new changes are happening so I can complain endlessly about how everyone always has to mess up a good thing hehehe
When the posts are gone, help.com is going to lose some valuable contributors to the site.
So when the posts are gone, are people not going to be able to come here and ask for help anymore?
when the posts are gone I’ll be gone too :-(
Well, I’m a contributor (how valuable I am I will leave up to you), but I’m not a blogger. I come here to try to help people by answering specific questions they may have. If people are no longer going to be able to ask specific questions to get help on, I really don’t see what the point of this site is going to be. There are already a ton of blogging sites on the web, and really, the “fad” of blogging is pretty much over. This is kind of like showing up at a party at 2am when everyone else is leaving.
this place is paid for by cbs? no wonder it changes constantly hahaha

so im just trying to collect the great posters, so they help fight the good fight.
i mean, how do i explain this.
everyone can do more good to be on this side then say the petion on popular post side. am i making any sense?
You’re making sense. It’s fine with me if they want to add blogs, chat, whatever to the site. I have no problem with them adding whatever they want to the site. But if they take away the only thing that I, and some others here, do use on the site, the posts, then there is really no point in me continuing to visit the site. I mean, I’m going to stick around until the changes are done and see how the new site is, but if it’s going the way it sounds like it is, I probably won’t continue after that.
Am I reading this right? Posts will become null and void? I do not like the sound of that at all. This is the reason I come here. To Help.
smoogie walks away grumbling.
Finally someone is standing up and taking action….I’ve done all I can do within my health constraints. It’s time each and every user stands up and does their part to keep Help.com afloat

I like the posts and I am not sure I will like the blogs. Once it is set up, I try it out but and who knows, Maybe I will like it. But right now I am morning the eventual loss of the post. I do not go to chat and enjoy helping people through their post.
Will a blog be like a post? Can a new person post a blog? Can we give responses on a blog?

I personally do not claim to know anything which would qualify me to give advice for imaginary issues in a blog.
I do however have the knowledge born of experience to help others who were in the same place i was.
In my experience as a youth worker, community education worker, homeless contact team worker i have learned that everybody’s situation is unique, ten people may be depressed for the same reasons, but it takes ten individual tailored responses to help.
The blogs will not help. It is arrogant beyond believe to assume we have all the answers, we have answers which are applicable to certain individuals asking certain questions. Beyond that we haven’t the slightest idea.

there is an agony to me that I cannot escape. Sometimes people are just mean and weird. Flush them away.
What is a postlander any how?
I still believe in Help.com so I see absolutely no reason to switch from the posting format that’s already working to blogs. As for the chat room, I’ve never used it so I really couldn’t care less what happens to it.
As for starting a new site; well it’s anybody’s perogative to do so….just keep in mind this site has always been a community where all users help each other

Well lets fight i then ffs, how can people help by just using blogs? Thats ridiculous.
AAhh, I understand now. Thankyou.
My goal is to make user’s understand nothing will be fixed because everything is going and the new is coming, meaning nothing will have to be fixed because everything will be new

yes, but that isnt for a very long time.
That depresses me. I guess I’ll save my goodbye post till the bitter end. I just dont understand the inconsiderate idiocy of someone who wants to take a place that does good like this, away.
I think we should be happy with what we got now and worry about that stuff when it comes if it comes
test
I am very interested. Want to know a bit more.
Perhaps become verified first…
I didn’t know it was changing. i though it was gonna just *kapoosh*.gone. Let me know what they change the new sites name to if they change it, please :) I don’t think I could do much more than I do already, which I admit isn’t really alot, but I’d still take a looksie at the site and see who is there ect

do people get help in chat?
It seems to be just flippant socialising and one line jokes to me. I tried chat sites about 10 years ago, and I write a travel blog when I’m doing something people might want to read, but I can’t see how this is related to what help.com is about - helping people
not many people are keen to help in chat if you ask me. some do, but those that arent familiar generally arent bothered in helping. you have to get to know them first.-genrally
When I think about it now, i dont think this site should be closed down. it has so many memories for everyone. they arent all bad. alot are good. and all the things people have asked, if they have the same problem again and cant come back to read what they were told in the past, then it could be hard for people again. people sometimes give the weak the boost they need. and just thinking about those people that helped them in the past could help them out. that goes for me too. perhaps some dont have very difficult problems that they will ever look back on. these ones should be able to be deleted if wanted. but if we close this down, we will lose connections with those we’ve spoken to before. its not fair to gain and then lose friends, cause i bet not everyone will go the new site if this one gets closed down.
