I
think wolf would be a good choice,

Or you could get a tattoo saying I heart Nante :D
I think that would be a better choice!

Wolf. I love wolves. They represent so much to me… Other animals too I guess - eagle would be the well known symbol of freedom, but I dont really like it that much… I want to get a tatoo too ^^ but I have to wait…

Has a wolf ever experienced true freedom? Freedom from the opinions of others, from the opinions of itself?

considering it dosent have to wear pants and gets to use the bathroom wherever it wants, I’d say its got freedom.

I have a list of more than one.

First and foremost is a wild bunny rabbit the little brown ones.

Second an eagle.

Third a lion.

Fourth a black grizzly bear.

Fifth the dolphin.

Six the whales.

Seven the sharks.

loving the rabbit idea; not so conventional but still. was thinking also of a white rabbit aka alice in wonderland symbol of being led into another world. but the ‘howling wolf’ has been close to my heart for a while

You know, getting a tattoo that represents freedom won’t help you to feel free in your future.

I think I am changing my mind now and bumping my list down…

adding White dove as number one and brown rabbit as 2 and so on..

Yep definitely a White dove :D

too many religious connotations for me. i am religious, but afraid of marking my body with it; too scared of God to do that… for a while considered getting a plain ole crucifix, but decided against it. theres still something spiritual in a howling wolf i think.

Well, it will be a permanent reminder but … its not a substitute for freedom. Imagine working in McDonalds with a reall cool tattoo. You’re still working in McDonalds.

My point is that true freedom comes from education. But - you know - it;s your skin, you can do as you like with it.

interesting. freedom comes from education? that depends on your understanding of freedom. its true education frees you from poverty and ignorance, but im not talking material freedom- though of coures i respect it. you can still be free working in mcdonalds. people who arent educated can dream as vividly as anyone else; it sounds so disgustingly naive and idealistic- but if we’re talking freedom we’re talking idealism anyway.

OK -

Well, I have a tattoo that reads AIR in a big hawaiian glyph stretched out on my back like wings… but … well hm… I can relate to what you’re saying too.
