What is the best way to promote my new website?

My site www.scaestimate.com launched recently. I provide 2 services.

1. I estimate the cost of security class action cases. $100M+ settlements.
2. I estimate the odds of what will happen to the stock price.
3. I publish a list of companies I am tracking that may have problems with their stock.

I am trying to reach people who are at the these companies so they don’t lose their 401k nest eggs in company stock (think enron or bear stearns employees).

Suggestions appreciated.

Blogging is good and of course email marketing and other marketing companies can help you out for a price of course. Blogging is free. I am joined up with a lot of social network sites and have many friends and some followers on each and this is how I promote along with blogging as all that is free. Hope this helps some. My website is in my post I have a social network page and a blog page for numerous sites you can check out and I do not get paid anything on those particular pages except for add banners.

A suggestion perhaps?

-Make sure that your website is easily findable/searchable on search engines like Google/Yahoo. Maybe invest in an ad campaign with google which can provide high exposure at: http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/ads/

-Make sure that your web page is updated regularly as out-of-date pages are less likely to reach the top of the results in search engines.

-If you have not done so already insert meta tags to your web page giving key words that relate to what your page is about. In theory the search engine sends out ‘meta spiders’ trawling the net to find meta tags on web pages that will help bring up results that are related to an inquiry submitted when a person carries out a search.

-There are also companies that specialize in viral campaigns, through such things as producing pop-ups etc for your product/service, easily found if you carry out a search on google etc.

You should try podcast advertising. Recent studies have shown that podcast advertising can be as much as 7x more effective than traditional advertising because of the engaged audience and less ad competition. Advertising through a podcast network allows you to advertise across multiple markets or target specific content topics to accurately pinpoint your most likely customer.

Advertising where your competition is not is the best way to gain a competitive advantage. With podcast ads you can creatively paint a picture of your product or service and producing the ads is easy too. All you need is a script for the show host to read. Email me (rob[at]podcastnewsservice.com) if you want more information on this.
