help me try to figure out my teenagers, 18 and 16.

Trying to help them do their best without stealing their dreams. When is enough enough?

I have a 16 year old myself, knowing the situation would be helpful though?

I have three kids… 17, 19, and 20. Can’t help you with 16 and 18 year olds!!!! Every child is different. Some need love and some need a good beating, you have to figure it out yourself.

I think you are done. Your kids are pretty much grown (at least thats what they think) just sit back and hope you have done your best. all you can do at this point is push them to follow their dream, the rest is up to them.

For the 18 year old I’d agree, definitely NOT the 16.

I think you are in the situation of my mom (I’m 18). She keeps pushing me to get a high-paying job when I want a more fufilling one. I think you should urge them to follow their dreams but have a back-up plan, just in case.

CONVERSATION! And you need to be on their page and listen to them. Give your opinion, don`t tell them exactly what to do. To be a guide and a rolemodel is never too late.
